Hey TSHA Members,
As you are aware, we are in the summer months of an election year. State House and State Senate seats are up for reelection across the state. I encourage all of you to see which State House and Senate Districts you live in and note which candidates are running in the general election. Make a contact in their campaign offices, or if they’re an incumbent legislator, make a contact in their Austin or district offices. Every contact we make is an open door to discussion during the legislative year.
Also, consider making a donation this month. Donating $200 or more earns you the distinction of being in our TSHA PAC 200 Club. If $200 is too much, consider donating $1 for each year you’ve had your license here in Texas. My son, Mark, celebrated his first birthday earlier this month (June 2). You also could consider donating $1 in honor of Mark’s birthday!
