Mark your calendars: The 70th Annual TSHA Convention & Exhibition will take place February 19–21, 2026, in Fort Worth.
In 2026, we celebrate seven decades of bringing together speech-language pathologists, audiologists, educators, researchers, and students from across Texas to learn, collaborate, and shape the future of our fields. There are so many new things coming for 2026, and you won’t want to miss it!
A New Educational Structure: Learning Pathways
One of the most exciting changes coming next year is how the education program is organized. TSHA is rolling out six Learning Pathways, designed so that sessions are grouped by clinical focus. Presenters selected a pathway when they submitted proposals, which means attendees can tailor their Convention experience more strategically.
Here are the six pathways you’ll see at Convention:
- Adult Communication
- Adult Swallowing and Upper Airway
- Audiology
- Pediatric Medical and Early Intervention
- Pediatric School Communication
- Professional Issues
This cohort-style design helps attendees immerse in their areas of practice without feeling scattered across unrelated sessions. It also brings opportunities for connection and makes networking more meaningful with peers and colleagues.
Strengthened Networking and Engagement Experiences
- Welcome Reception: In 2026, we celebrate TSHA’s 70th annual event! Attending our reception on Thursday means you’ll be part of a legacy as we honor the past and influence the next decade of TSHA.
- Rise and Shine Annual Breakfast: On Friday, February 20, the Texas Speech-Language-Hearing Foundation (TSHF) Breakfast will bring attendees together early in the morning for connection, inspiration, and celebration. Every ticket purchased supports student scholarships, research grants, and leadership initiatives.
- Professional Networking: The TSHA Convention isn’t just about sitting in sessions. It’s about meeting people, sharing experiences, and building connections. From poster walks to round-table discussions and happy hours to meet-and-greets, there are so many more ways to find new friends and connect with old ones.
- Student Engagement: Dedicated activities for students, including the Praxis Bowl, tailgate games, and meet-and-greet, will make Convention not just educational but formative for undergraduate and graduate students.
- Job Placement: Looking for your next professional opportunity or hoping to recruit top-notch clinicians for your team? Don’t miss this new meetup that allows employers and potential employees to connect face-to-face in an casual yet energizing setting.
