Special Edition Webinar: Texas Medicaid Individual Enrollment for Public School SLPs and AuDs

1.pngOn Friday August 12, TSHA hosted an in-depth course that covered pertinent SHARS policy updates and instructions on new Medicaid enrollments for public school providers.

Effective November 1, 2022, a referral is required for speech-language pathology and audiology School Health and Related Services (SHARS). A school-based SLP or Audiology evaluation may serve as the referral if the evaluator is enrolled in Medicaid as an individual practitioner. 

Enrollment may take up to 45 business days for approval. This workshop, created and presented by Dalan Gore, MBS, MS, CCC-SLP, was designed to jumpstart the enrollment process.
