May is Better Hearing and Speech Month

May Is Better Hearing and Speech Month (MBHSM) is a month-long observance aimed at increasing awareness of communication and swallowing disorders and the life-changing services that speech-language pathologists, audiologists, and those within related fields provide. This month, join the Texas Speech-Language-Hearing Association (TSHA) in promoting the important work you do by participating in the following fun activities.

TSHA wants to hear from you about why you chose your career and what you love most being an audiologists and speech-language pathologists. Answer one of five questions in a short video and you’ll be entered into a raffle to win a free registration to the 67th TSHA Annual Convention & Exhibition or cool TSHA swag (pictured to the right). The five questions include:

  • Tell a story of when you knew you were making a difference.
  • What is your favorite aspect of your job?
  • What do you value most about being a member of TSHA?
  • What inspired your career path as a audiologists and speech-language pathologists or assistant? Or if you’re a student or a clinical fellow, what inspired you to pursue this area of study? 
  • What are you doing to celebrate MBSHM this year?
