TSHA CONVENTION SCHOLARSHIPS

TSHA will award three different scholarships to assist in facilitating attendance to the annual convention. Scholarships can be applied towards registration, short courses, room, travel, and/or food.

SCHOLARSHIP TYPE	SCHOLARSHIPS AWARDED	SCHOLARSHIP AMOUNT	ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
TSHA Member Scholarship	3	$1,000	Active or Associate TSHA member in good standing. Must be a TSHA member for at least 3 consecutive years. Employer will NOT provide funding for its employees to attend the convention.
First-Time Speaker Scholarship	1	$1,000	Must be a TSHA member. Must be a first-time speaker at Convention.
Student Member Scholarship	2	$500	Must be a full-time student, in good standing, in an accredited university program.

Submit a one-page, 250-word double-spaced statement addressing the following topics:

How attending the TSHA convention will further your professional development
Why the scholarship is needed

One letter of recommendation, not to exceed 250 words, which supports the merits of awarding a scholarship to you

Submit a one-page, 250-word double-spaced statement addressing why being a first-time speaker is important to you

Recipient Expectations
Recipients will be expected to:

Provide a copy of their CEU Log following convention
Share the experience with TSHA membership by contributing a short article to the Communicologist. This article can be as simple as a quote that was meaningful, a reflection of the recipient’s favorite part of the convention, or how professional practice was advanced.
