Position Description:
The Department of Communication Sciences & Disorders at Baylor University offers bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Speech-Language Pathology and is CAA certified. A Ph.D. program in Communication Sciences & Disorders is also offered. Baylor University and faculty in the Department of Communication Sciences & Disorders seek a clinical educator to fill this Clinical Assistant Professor in Speech-Language Pathology position beginning August 2023.
Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities of this position include clinical education to and mentoring of graduate students. Clinical faculty are also asked to teach undergraduate or graduate courses in our residential or online programs, participate in active, collaborative research, and engage in departmental, university, and professional service.
Salary and Review Date:
Salary is commensurate with professional experience and qualifications. Qualifications:
Appointment will be at the Clinical Assistant Professor Level. Qualifications include a commitment to excellence in clinical education, research, and teaching, a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, and three years clinical experience. Candidates with all areas of expertise are encouraged to apply. ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) and eligibility for Texas state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology. Preference will be given to candidates with an SLPD. or Ph.D. in Communication Sciences & Disorders. Candidates with a record of successful clinical teaching and student mentoring are preferred. Speech-language pathologists with expertise in autism, dysphagia, or language and literacy are preferred.
