Wow! What a time we had in Austin at the 61st Annual TSHA Convention. We’re still tallying all the numbers, but the Texas Speech-Language-Hearing Association (TSHA) Political Action Committee (PAC) had another successful Convention! The TSHA PAC gives speech-language pathologists and audiologists a voice by identifying specific legislators and candidates who have supported TSHA’s legislative agenda and are in a position to further specific policy initiatives.
During Convention, the TSHA PAC held its annual silent auction at its booth in the exhibit hall. We are thankful to those individuals, universities, regional associations, and companies that donated items for the silent auction as well as to everyone who bid on the items. In addition, TSHA PAC participated in TSHA’s largest ever Capitol Day and hosted a reception at Café Blue for members of the $200 Club, which are TSHA members who have contributed $200 to the TSHA PAC during the year.
The TSHA PAC is greatly appreciative of everyone’s contributions throughout the year and hopes that every TSHA member will make a contribution in the coming year.
Even though the TSHA PAC is unable to make contributions to legislators during the legislative session, we need to continue raising funds to make contributions in the future. When you contribute to the TSHA PAC, you show your support of your colleagues and the clients you serve. You can make your contribution anytime throughout the year. Consider being a part of the TSHA PAC $200 Club. Make your contribution today.
The TSHA PAC continues to fight for you, your patients, and your professions!
