Policy and Advocacy
The Texas Speech-Language-Hearing Association advocates in the legislature and with regulatory agencies for the rights and protection of speech-language pathologists and audiologists and the consumers we serve. TSHA supports legislative candidates for state office whose records and policy positions demonstrate an understanding of our professions and the needs of our consumers. TSHA also supports legislators who are in a position to further the legislative goals of our association.
Bi-annually in Texas, legislation is enacted that significantly impacts members of our profession as well as individuals with speech, language and hearing disorders. Visit this site regularly for updates and calls to action.
