Social Communication Disorders: Assessment of the Elementary School Child
Track: Language Learning Disabilities
This session will focus on the assessment of functional social communication skills for at-risk populations including children with ASD, LD, and SLI using a new assessment tool, the RESCA-E. The presenters will examine social communication skills and aspects of the DSM-5 criteria, including qualitative clinical features of this population which are often missed with traditional assessment tools.
