Phonological Awareness Training on the Decoding Abilities of Children with Down Syndrome

Children with Down Syndrome have particular difficulty with phonological skills. Sight word interventions continue to be the dominant methods of literacy instruction for this population. The present study examines the effects of a treatment involving phonemic awareness on the decoding abilities in children with Down Syndrome.
