Description:

Effectively treating a child with Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS) requires that the SLP implement therapy based on the principles of motor learning. However, many children with CAS also struggle with sensory processing, emotional regulation, and/or social communication. Combining the SCERTS model with apraxia therapy is one approach that can be beneficial when treating these children.
