The way we manage negative thoughts influences our emotional and behavioral reactions. This session: explores “defusion” (disengaging from thoughts), an integral part of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT); encourages experiential learning; and facilitates understanding of skills to manage troublesome thoughts and reduce their impact. Clinically relevant for most clients who stutter.
