This monthly synopsis of legislative and regulatory activity will: Keep you updated on TSHA monitoring and activity related to interim session meetings of the legislature and regulatory agencies that could affect your practice or the professions; create “calls to action” to TSHA members to contact their legislators on issues; provide talking points on specific legislation or issues; and to act as a resource to help you if you have questions regarding the TSHA position on an issue, or our actions on behalf of TSHA. Medicaid Rate Update 12-20-11
New rates posted to the HHSC website: http://hhsc.state.tx.us/rad/rate-packets.shtml

The proposed reimbursement rates presented at the Nov. 21, 2011 rate hearing, to be implemented 1/1/12 will not be implemented. HHSC will be publishing guidance shortly about the next rate hearing that will be conducted on January 18, 2012 in the public hearing room of the Brown-Healy Building at HHSC, beginning at 9:00am.

Interested members may continue to monitor the HHSC website at: http://hhsc.state.tx.us/rad/rate-packets.shtml where all guidance about the rate hearing and the proposed rates to be effective on 3-01-2012 will be published.

TSHA members may also continue to monitor our TSHA Website and check under Advocacy for the latest information. As the Medicaid Task Force continues to gather data and analyze the proposed rates we will post the information to our advocacy website.
