Hall of Fame Award

Awarded to individuals or groups of professionals who have demonstrated exemplary commitment and contribution in serving those with communication disorders. Eligible activities or achievements for which the award will be given include, but are not limited to: the advancement of knowledge and the provision of exemplary services through clinical achievements, research study, teaching, supervision, or administration; program development that promotes clinical achievement through an innovative and replicable design; extraordinary service and exemplary contributions to TSHA for 10 or more years; and lifetime achievements in the fields of speech-language pathology or audiology that have promoted excellence in clinical service. An individual nominee must be a speech-language pathologist or audiologist and a TSHA member. Interdisciplinary teams who are nominated as groups should include a speech-language pathologist and/or audiologist and one or more TSHA members. Commitment to the delivery of services must be evidenced by a specific activity or achievement of a series of related, integrated activities resulting in the achievement of a common goal.

Jack L. Bangs Award

Awarded to speech-language pathologists and/or audiologists who have been members of TSHA for 10 or more years, contributed significantly to TSHA and ASHA, and demonstrated outstanding leadership and exemplary professional excellence.

Award of Honors

Awarded to speech-language pathologists and/or audiologists who have been members of TSHA for 10 or more years, contributed significantly to TSHA, and demonstrated outstanding leadership and exemplary professional excellence.

Public Service Award

Awarded to individuals other than speech-language pathologists and/or audiologists in recognition of outstanding committee work or other Associational activity and to persons other than speech-language pathologists and/or audiologists who have supported the professions in a way that has added strength and visibility to TSHA and its goals within the past year.

Certificate of Appreciation

Awarded to speech-language pathologists and/or audiologists who are members of TSHA in recognition of outstanding committee work or other Associational activity and to individuals other than speech-language pathologists and/or audiologists who have supported the professions in a way that has added strength and visibility to TSHA and its goals during the immediate past year.

Advocate of the Year/Legislator of the Year

Awarded to an advocate/consumer of speech-language or audiological services who has contributed significantly to the association and the professions.

TSHA Nominee for the Rolland J. Van Hattum Award (American Speech-Language-Hearing Foundation)

Given by ASHA in recognition of outstanding commitment and specific contribution to the delivery of speech-language pathology and/or audiology services in a school setting.

TSHA Nominee for the Louis M. DiCarlo Award (American Speech-Language-Hearing Foundation)

Given by ASHA for advancement of knowledge in clinical practice as evidenced by significant accomplishment within the past 3 years.

TSHA Nominee for the Frank R. Kleffner Award (American Speech-Language-Hearing Foundation)

Given by ASHA for outstanding contributions to clinical science and practice in communication science and disorders over a period of 20 years or longer.
